The Shadow Clan warrior tells them that Dr. Blakk is trying to unleash the dark forces that are trapped beneath Slugterra, and that they must stop him before it is too late. He also reveals that Eli's father, Will Shane, was the last person to enter the Deep Caverns, and that he might still be alive.
The episode ends with a cliffhanger, as Eli decides to follow his father's footsteps and enter the Deep Caverns with his friends, while Dr. Blakk prepares to launch his final attack on Slugterra. The story continues in the next episode, "The Return".
